I have numerous qualifications including a Masters in Social Work from the University of Pretoria having graduated in 2003. I deal with all psychosocial issues such as addiction, trauma, ill- health, adjustment/adaptation in different life stages, new roles (home/work), bereavement/grieving, bullying in schools, group trauma debriefing and child behavioral problems. I also work with all age groups including learners using all methods like individual therapy, group work and community work. I design, implement, monitor and evaluate my psychosocial programmes. I also do support and prevention programmes to children affected by gender based violence including LGBTI children and youth. This is supported by my PhD study on parenting an LGBTI child: Experiences, Challenges and Coping Resources of parent and LGBTI children which I am completing this year (2021).I have extensive knowledge of school health policies and child protection legislation. I have a special interest in the following fields viz. employee assistance programme (EAP) and employee wellness; project management ;facilitation (training) and presentation ;addiction (drugs and alcohol); HIV and AIDS counsellor; trauma debriefer/counsellor ;organizational development (OD) consultant; stress management; disability management; financial management; life skills management.
